No more compulsory Student's Unions in Sweden

The Swedish Government has decided to abolish the rule that forces Swedish students to join the Student's Union as of the 1/7/2010, and not a day to soon! The National Union of Students is if of course outraged, understandable as they will probably loose a lot of members when people are no longer forced to join! With the abolishment of conscription and now this, the government is taking steps towards a more free Sweden, but with 90 years of socialism there is still a long way to go!

My dear friend Karl Malmqvist offers an interesting perspective on the Government's proposal, arguing that it is in fact extending the compulsory Student's Unions to everyone in Sweden, throught tha tax bill!
